I was thinking the very same thing the other day. If we are fortunate enough (I guess) for crop prices to remain at the general level they are now the competition for land will continue to drive up rental rates to the point where the profit margins for tenants will approach the level they were at when prices were lower. We are already seeing the upward trend in rental rates this year.
The ones really profiting from the high prices in years to come will be the companies supplying inputs and the land owners. | |
