I would call it suppression, surely not 100% control unless something really heats it up like lime, rainfall etc. That would be rare in my experience.

It is rated a 2 on crop safety in soybeans if I remember correctly where glyphosate would be a 1 in RR soybeans.

I commend you on considering a residual herbicide, so many farmers would benefit from them.
