Hendricks MN | EVDO is good if your close to a tower within like six miles after that it drops back to CDMA which is two to three times faster than dial up. If you have a laptop it is handy to have internet on the road or in the field. If you go this route you may want to look at a smart phone for a modem instead of the card. The card only puts out .2wats of power vs the phone .6. If your in a week service area the card wouldn't work a lot of the time. I used a card for a couple of years than switched wireless high speed a year ago. Less money and faster than Wild Blue. You may want to do a search and see if wireless is available in your area, some of the companies don't advertise much. | |
