I feel it has another problem as well. The guys that grow the big yields on a regular basis all say you never want your crop to have a bad day. If the Greenseeker says your crop needs N then your crop is already short, hence the N rich strip which shouldn't be short is what your entire crop should look like. Too me it seems like a band aid approach to a larger problem, which is not enough N in the first place. The handheld unit makes more sense to me to use when scouting to find a problem before it becomes field wide. I personnally like the way the soil doctor system works better measureing the N in the soil then adding whatever you tell it to, may not be the best for really sandy soils but then you probably have a different approach to that already. I don't own or have any experience with either, just my honest opinion.
