Mostly black hided beef calves, worked and weaned. Med-large framed 1's and 2's, good cattle. Ran through on regular sale days.
The sale barn at Kalona had a special calf sale on New Years Day, didn't attend, but a neighbor sold his calves that day and said the top was $1/lb on 6wt steers, but 85-90 cents could have caught most of the 6 and 7wt calves earlier in the sale.
