I agree with you on what is legal is not always what is right. It would be legal to refuse 99.9% of chemical performance claims. Seed replants are pretty liberally covered but most could be refused. What about that part you got from the auto parts store that you tried but it wasn't the problem. Legally it's used, so no returning it. Don't expect any slack from any DOT or law enforcement, it is the law you know. What about the gray areas at tax time. The real problem is people, myself included, seem to forget how many times we expect to get a break when not required. When the shoe is on the other foot the same situation is not quite same.
