Devils Lake, ND
I'm reading this from SWND. Winter wheat acres in ND have been creeping up for the past several years. A lot of areas of our state are dry, but guys seeded anyway. Although I haven't seen it, guys are saying some of the seeds are germinating and then dying because of the dryness. I'm inclined to call BS on this, knowing how tough young wheat is.

We have had lows on the low to mid 40's and highs in the upper 60's. The forecast calls for more of the same, and no rain. Should we be concerned? I'm not worried about the wheat not getting established; I know how that works, just this germinate-and-die thing.
