I planted barley 9 days ago in the dust and surprisingly it's up pretty good. Tuesday is our "fly free" date for wheat but most are going to wait for rain. Unfortunately, none is forcast for the next 7-10 days. I'm going to plant a couple of turnrows (driest parts of field) and see what happens. If it comes up I'll plant the rest of the field. And last year I mudded wheat in which isn't the right thing to do either. I just want a normal year.
