| Bob, at 1500 I would hope that the irrigation equipment would come with it. Crops grown here are mostly wheat, corn and milo and some sunflowers not many beans. The market for Corn is good because of the cattle/hog industry
Horn is right with the cost per acre on watering corn. We can start watering in May and not shut off until late august ( just long enough to change oil). It takes alot of HP to pump out here. Avg rainfall is 18 inches. As somebody on this board said SW kansas can be a tough place to "play"
If you dont mind me asking, what county is this for sale in and who is selling/advertising, I guess I have not seen it. That would tell me alot more about the water situation. | |
