Walnut Grove MN USA | The gist of what I got from my local NK dealer is that all beans in under the Syngenta company are going to be NK. The corn is to remain split between Garst and NK which is because of the agreements each company had with Monsanto before the merger. Golden Harvest wasn't mentioned but I wouldn't be surpised in the least if in five years everything is NK. So for you if you have a NK or Garst dealer in your area now most likely they would have first opportunity to increase their dealership unless they are getting out of the seed business for some reason. I am a little surprised they offered a dealership to you because that lately the trend is for the fert. and chemical business to pick up the seed dealership for one stop shopping. A friend of mine was interested in taking over his Dad's Dekalb dealership since Dad was retireing from it but big D said no. | |
