| that's how i have been trying to fertilize for 10+ years now. tried the University recco's to the "T" for a coupla years and had the old standard programs in side by sides to compare against.......the old standards won each & every time and by enough to pay for the extra fert & then some. so i settled for the "apply what you remove" formula for my soils since. seems to be working out okay so far.
tried the GPS vari rate also for a few years, like it for lime applications but not for fert's at this time. i have less problems with over fertilization than under.....lime is a completely different story on that note. vi | |
