SE Nebraska
Choosing the right hybrid is one of the biggest things to get high yield. Fertility is extremely crucial as well. I have experimented with different populations and I have found that planting on the thin side works best. I normaly plant around 90-100,000 dryland. I have also experimented with row widths as well. The last few years I have been in 15" rows but I went back to 30" this year. I am not sure I was gaining anything in 15" rows.
