| Don't say you want Clay! I know we are fortunate enough not to have heavy clay, but one of our best yielding fields is also a nightmare to plant. If you are on it too wet, turn up large basketball sized clods, and if its too dry a sunflower disk has a hard time going through it and also you turn up clods, just baseball this time. An old farmer told us once that we had 10 minutes all year to work it up to get it worked up nice. All that said it still makes a good crop if it gets all the rain it needs. | |
