Have seen some areas in our riverbottoms that were mature and water came up over the ear and sometimes higher. Went and checked the same area three days later and the crop was completely gone, just bare dirt (muck and sand) left. This was an area that had some flow but it was not real strong, pretty far from the river channel even. Surprised me.
