Many years ago we used a platform head on an old 510 MF in corn, worked good for us but that year we had a field of corn that was extremly short, I'm guessing if theres alot of matierial to run through you'll have a fair amount of probs. One good thing about doing it with the bean head is if you bale the stalks the windrow will be there already verse chopping & raking!!
