O.K. I checked my records. The last 113 calves 85 were purebred (AI sired) and 28 were half bloods (clean up bull) of those lost to scours 4 purebreds and 1 half blood. Not enough numbers to be conclusive, but before that I used a purebred clean up bull. I've been promoting heterosis for quite a few years when selling bulls and thought maybe this would be more ammo but I guess not.
