the three way cross animal doesn't have anymore hybrid vigor then the 2 way cross....both would have 100% hybrid vigor. Atleast in pigs it has been proven that the 2way (F1) cross will be the most productive female, because of the cost to produce them alot of swine breeding stock is F2(3way). A cross bred (f1) cow will be your most productive with 100% hybrid vigor. If you use 3 breeds in rotation on the cows you can get about 75% of that value and not maintain a pure line.
