seeing this steer as a 4H project would be interesting. His sire is a registered Hereford bull but the dam is just one of my own home bred commercial "Hereford" cows. The steer is not registerable. Don't cattle shown as a breed in 4H or other competitions need to be registered? I am obviously not familiar with show rules.
