SW Minnesota | Looking for some input on sand lanes for dairy freestall barn. We have a freestall with 70 stalls, we put the stalls in last year & use sand bedding, before that we just had a manure pack bedding. Looked at a few, basicly as I understand it a lane about 200-300 ft with at least 1 turn. Slope from 1 guy said 5%, the other guy said 1/2% slope, wondering which is right?? perhaps the first guy meant .5%? Looking for ideas or pics.
A pit will also be constructed next spring so I'm trying to get things in order before the blueprints are drawn up. Thanks | |
