| I have run cattle on wheat pasture for about 30 years. Usually have about 300 to 400 head. Every year is different depending on weather and how good the wheat is. I always have Milo stalks to go with the wheat. On and average year I get from 1.8 to 2.4 gain a day and I have seen much less on bad years. Where I don't graze wheat I figure from 5 bu to 10 bu acre more wheat. I have had some years where no difference. All I put out is mineral blocks. | |
