SC Mn | Our barns have rear swing gates and we are able to make pen sizes from 35 on up to half a room. We used to run 4 pens together but have better performance using small pens,35, but it doesn't allow us to pre-sort. Pre-sorting the night before was really sweet come load day(We couldn't set up sort pen until we had market pigs pulled into alley because space was to tight) but it took us more hours to pre-sort the night before and load the next day than it does to sort as we load. Top sort loads usually take us less than an hour on the day of the load. | |
