Manitoba | Sure, feed it as often, any way you like. The calves will tell you if the system is working
Think the many small meals when on self feeding is a big part of the health advantage though. IMO
As far as being set up for it though, it does not take much, old plastic drum and a few peach teats (brand) some straw and an empty corner to throw them in and your on your way.
