I worked for an 800 cow dairy that took an old bulk tank, small one (120 gallons?) and with about 500 bucks worth of plumbing, made a hot water heat exchanger to flash the milk up to about 140 degrees for a few minutes. The milk was already close to 100 coming into it, and it didn't take much to take it the rest of the way. We sent all the 'hospital' milk through that contraption. Seemed to work ok. It paid for itself in about 5 days...

you need to ask yourself: Do you know where the milk is coming from, and what kind of problems do those cows have that you don't want?
