And Ill admit they did! They had a rough summer for sure. Ive never felt so sorry for a photographer in my entire life. When they showed up. We had ever single bovine running on either failed corn or cornstalks, because we were out of hay and pasture weeds. The photographer kept wanting to find some cows in better condition and with better scenery. I said, "hop-in, lets drive north".

Btw number 5 is that old, pesky cow that always comes running to the truck and gets in your way, thats why she made it in more than one pic :). And the dog is in good condition because he still ate the same table scraps as usual and spent most of the summer in a recliner with the window unit AC blowing on his face.
Don't try to move cows if its over 90 degrees and expect his help!

Things have cooled off now though, and the fall calves are hitting the ground and seem to be doing alright. We have 7 bales of hay, but thats a worry for another day.
We are still hoping the guys in Texas/OK/Kansas/CO/NM get some rain. They don't have future worries, they have current worries.
