| Our girls' show lambs get Honor show feed.
If you prefer to mix on your own then whole shelled corn is fine. Find out what the protein % is on the diet they are being fed now, then do the math to mix your pellet with the corn to get the same % protein to start with. Where you go from there really depends on the lambs and what you are trying to accomplish. Is this for your daughter to learn about raising a market animal and making money or does she wish to be competitive in the show ring?
Be careful with these sheep projects. Our oldest started with one wether and one ewe lamb 8 years ago. Now we have 30 purebred ewes.
