WY, OK | There haven't been horses on this ranch for a good 80 years. Heck ATV's have been used now for almost 30 and motorcycles before that. None of the other places around use horses other than for Forest lease where that is the only thing you can take in and check cows with regularly. We have a good 20 miles of irrigation ditches that were all put in with horses over 100 years ago and I would have loved to see how long that took.
I know how you guys feel our nasty wet calving was last year, this year has been a breeze, but now worried about summer grass with practically no snow this winter. Today was the 4th time we were suppose to get a "big one" and have just had a dusting. | |
