Other than in lanes to water etc compaction has not been a problem.
I think the fact the ground is frozen most of the time they are on it and even in the spring the cattle are usually walking on last years rootballs. After 6 years of corn on corn and 3 years of grazing the same paddock has really improved soil structure so that it can support loads.
