We originally planned on 1300 acres, up 300 from normal.
Gave up on the 300 corn on corn with DT's forecast early on about a summer drouth.
Got 500 acres planted in our sand, upland never got dry enough without mudding it in.
Officially gave up on the rest of it when we got almost 5 inches yesterday so we will be down 500 acres from normal.

Personally I don't see any way that 90M acres will be planted or harvested. If I had to guess I'd say it would be a stretch to get into the low 80's and a lot of that will be mudded in or around low spots and won't have the top yield potential.

Hate to say it, but I think politics gets involved with the USDA predictions too much any more.
