Da... that can hurt! A month after the surgury they let me start rehab as well as start to drive. I went back to work traveling to see my dealers. Got out at the Britton Elevator, step on the last snow of the season and slipped as I went down. I threw my arms behind me and caught myself. It would have better to have wet pants from landing on the ground! My Cardiologist said I tore the new cartilage loose. All I know is it felt better a month later.
When I started rehad I was going 1 hour for 3 days a week to start. After about 2 weeks I started spending an hour swimming laps 5 days a week. On the 3 days of rehab I went from swimming directly to rehab for the hour at rehab. Dang near killed myself early on, but strengthened my chest area quickly.
