near Lucan | Polio. Needs thiamine, has to be caught real early. We mix it in the feed now, don't want to risk a repeat! If the herd seems to be off feed a bit, a loss of appetite, kind of standing still, you've got a overall problem, but it's more often singles. Ours was the whole herd, took some time last year to turn them around. Had to mix molasses in to get their appetite going. Does it show up more this time of year? I was told that, don't know. PS We started walking around the feedlot with a loaded needle of thiamine in our pocket, that was how quick it seemed you had to be.
