NO rat tails.
Most chars were actually bred Up from Hereford cows
( 1/2 to 3/4 to 7/8 to 15/16 etc..
).
Those carry the red gene.
The Pure white chars are related to a white simmy base, they throw some "ratties" and those will always be off black cows.
Most Angus carry the white "varient" gene also.
