maybe it's all about "blue sky" so to speak in your eyes.

pfl has a point.
I also had figured consolidation, or more like consolidated EXPANSIONS.

Dairy deal seems positioning to go "vertical" so to speak.

Since they show a touch of expansion aptitude now...get an export up in say cheese and the consolidateds are well in position to ADD perhaps another 500,000 to 1 million more cows in short order down the road.

Probably an OK deal...they are a major grind beef supply...and the usa IS a huge grind beef market that can easily handle quite a few more dairy cows annually from dairy expansions.
