| Amen to that.
I cut down on the hired help lately, but at one time I had 3 guys and a gal working. We regularly had lunch together, tried to do it once a week. I picked up the tab on all lunches, but this one per week time was to air out anything going on. Most of the time it was showing up late, not turning in hours in a timely manner, not taking enough initiative, that sort of stuff. I also let them know when they gave me an awesome week of good decisions and hard work.
Get it out, discuss it, argue, whatever, just start talking. If they don't want to change, show them the door. They are not entitled to that job. | |
