My neighbor has Jersey dairy cows. Those things always look like just skin and bones even though he takes very good care of them.

I would not at all be surprised to hear one of them hung at 50% of live wt like Joshua's or even less. They are said to be good eating but just not much beef there.

There is a reason they are dairy cows and not beef cows.
