-just get a market hog---- had one butchered for a customer last week--kill,cut,wrap-cured hams and bacon--butcher charge was $150 + cost of pig -$130 (200# dressed meat) and remember they charge on hanging carcass--bone and head on... a sow will yield about 48% of live weight when de-boned---spiral hams are $1.69 at Meijer's...only way freezer meats work is if you eat everything---i see many toss hocks,ect. so its not cheap meat
