My husband has a Weber Smokey Mountain, it's a small bullet style smoker. He really likes it and it is not a huge investment like some of the smokers. He produces some awesome ribs and can cook 4 whole Boston Butts at one time in it. It has a water pan for moist heat which he thinks is key. Also, one trick he has learned for smoking in cold weather, is to cut the top and bottom off a 50 gallon plastic barrel and drop it over the smoker - really helps it hold the heat. He uses mixes of briquettes and wood chips (apple, hickory, cherry etc.) I think you can get one bought for around $200.00 There is one that is one step bigger by Weber, not sure of the name or cost. Hope that helps.
