We have the vita mix 5200 as well and love it. Bought it at costco as well. You can make ice cream, not near the consistency of what you scoop out of the pail but like a REALLY thick milkshake. I make mine with milk and frozen strawberries and I will even toss in a tomato(can't even tell it's in there) and takes about 30 seconds(at the most!) Give it a rinse throw in some veggies and some stock and you can have soup in 5 minutes that is too hot to drink right out of the cup. I like to mix up smoothies and I throw in a generous amount of spinach leaves and other than making it green, the kids can't even tell it's in there. I also purchased the small dry container. In here you can grind any type of grain, bread crumbs and mix up bread dough, muffins, loaves, etc, etc.
