they are all off mountain / highland ranches, some are the larger "one string" deals, also have plenty of operators who sell say 10 to 30 young cows or pairs annually to make land payments, living exp, etc..

Alot of this country is perfect calf growing country....since steer calves always bring more and cows always dollar out higher than hiefer calves, folks tend to save alot of hiefers...grow em...and make cows.

Key is to KNOW every outfit that makes a few extra cows.

They all go out E and NE from TX to the Dakotas / Minnesota.

Biggest expense in em...likely is Diesel fuel. LOL.
