How will you handle the buyout?? I assume you have crop insurance but final price on that not set for some time into the future??
We have some folks in similar situation....advising they fully understand how their crop insurance works before deciding to buy out of contracts too quickly....
We have no idea of what we will do yet. Still need to see how much we can get harvested, those small ears are going to be difficult to pick.
We have crop insurance so we have some protection.
