E.Central MN | Perhaps its because the countries that buy our ag commodities haven't figured out how to export our ag production. We've certainly sent enough university ag experts overseas to help them catch up and the ag equipment manufacturers are rushing to set up shop there. The US is blessed with good soils and a good growing climate. But who knows, maybe climate change will turn around and bite us in the tail yet. Then you can blame that on the unions, too....
By the way, not all of ag is excelling. There are some specialty vegetable growers that have seen their prices drop as a result of Chinese competition.
