Pittsburg, Kansas

Whatever the government is or is not going to do we need to work towards an industry that can function without government support. I supported the subsidies to get the industry started and as an alternative form of energy to help the oil supply dependency situation but I don't support subsidies forever. I would also suggest we as farmers work towards being able to survive without the government teat because we are most likely going to get weaned one of these days in the not to distant future. Not because politicians will not want to buy our vote, but because they simply can't. A lot of things are going to change for the worse in the next few years. Better get ready for it. I see a pretty good future for agriculture in the US but with lots of bumps along the way and less government support.

John
