Eastern Half of Kansas
I would buy 7*24, kind of depends on what you have to pull it with. If you have diesel or big gas, no problem. Ford 5.4 or chevy 6.0 it would probably be ok. My 7*24, probably one the heaviest loads was 10 cows at 1530 lbs each across the coop scales. Calves 11,000 to 13,000 loads are ok. As others have said buy rivited not welded if you're worried about that and pasture driving. Wilson and Merritt come to mind, not sure how many you would classify there. I have a Barrett, owned it 4 1/2 years I think it would be called welded except the nose and the neck. Its a 94 model, cracked a little on the back from previous people hitting the back bumper too hard when loading I guess, isn't giving any trouble. My choice would be Barrett or Wilson.
