Eastern Ontario | We stored them on edge, first plastic then palletts, two rows wide , we put them six high. In the middle of the stack we put a row of small square bales to give the tarp a peak and the water to run off, the big hay tarp, with eyes for hooks, went about 2/3 down each side and when your bales are on edge you have something to hook your bungees too. I recommend you use bungees with synthetic rubber, they will hold the tarp till next spring. On the ends don't let it hang dow very far and put lots of straps since you want some air movement there. We did a big pile last year and took them out in the spring and they were just like we put them in. Some work but if it is good quality hay I think it's worth it. | |
