| Your somewhat taking that out of context, Cargill is taking advantage of farmers selling large volumes of spot corn. Ray stated that farmers are dumping corn on the spot market rather then foward selling two weeks to capture a 15 cent carry and they are buying record numbers of spot corn.
Once the co-ops starting putting corn on piles and sheds I'll say it looks like harvest! Some elvators have 1/2 to 2/3 there total fall storage on piles. I'm not claiming we will run out of corn, simpley a lot of the reasons for poor basis etc are justified. | |
