| As far as food quality wheat anyway..............we are 2-3 weeks from HRW harvest here and perhaps a month on HRS and Durum...........................Do you do a HTA and lose control of final delivery desitiny of your grain but dont have to margin? Do you sell futures on the board but in this effed up market climate who knows HOW HIGH futures will run? How long till your wife cuts your @#$% off because of margin calls?? (been there done that although I am still intact, DONT CARE TO CHANCE ITAGAIN THOUGH!!)...
We havent EVEN BEGUN to talk about BASIS yet......................basis is generally horrible BUT then take into account protein discount/premiums and you are into a WHOLE NUTHER DILEMMA......
This is by far the TOUGHEST marketing year I have witnesses in 25 years of farming...(I'm Young OK???)
