Here in Eastern Canada there is little alfalfa , not much pure clover , more timothy,lots of purple vetch.
Also here is the tail pipe so to speak , we get almost all your weather systems with humidity from across the continent.
HERE.... once the sun goes down we have to stop baling as the dew will drive up moisture in a round bale from 15% to 30% in 20 minutes.
Bottom line..............every region has different crops and weather. Here the cut off is 15% for dry dust/mold free dry hay. | |
