Subject: RE: Rechargeable battery question...but...

Chebanse, IL.....

My Sony cameras indicate in their manuals that rechargables give longer run life than any alkaline. I think the newer rechargables are NiMH which recharge better. I use a few of them & they work fine. I have a couple different kinds:

RayOVac 15 minute rechargables. They take a special charger (& battery) & it will take 4 dead AA to full charge in 15 minutes. Charger has a cooling fan. You can use regular rechargables in it also.

More recently, RayOVac has added Hybrid batteries. They're a rechargable that's supposed to a very long life. They recharge in my 15' charger just fine.

I'll stick w/rechargables in my cameras etc.
