S.E. Iowa | Have ate Lamb all my life try to buy at least one for the freezer every year, Years ago I used to work at the Iowa State Fair on the Livestock gates, got to talking to some Show sheep raisers from the western states, they claimed the best tasting lamb came from wethers slaughtered at about 240lbs. Have any of you fed one out that heavy. Also what do you use for fencing, have 8 strand hi tensike around the farm will it hold sheep or do you have to use woven wire. not electrified right now but could do it easily, will the electric fence help to hold out predators. I was told a 36 joule electric fencer would keep the things in you want in, and keep out what you dont want in . just wondering how you control coyotes. | |
