New Mexico
Real good green grass hay for a few days, start adding a touch of grain about day 2 or 3.

Ideally, if you could turn em out in the day on some good green grass, then bring em up in the evening and they'll get a taste for a couple lbs of grain in the eve.

Bovishield Gold 5 shot, and 7 way plus haemophilus shot, pour em with ivomec too, is what I been doing here.

Just started getting a few of these 250 to 350 lb cattle here last week.
Good weaned long haired tough calves. Last week's cost me $85 cwt to $134 cwt., all of em hiefers ( right at $320 per head ).
Just been working em and turning right out to strait grass here.
