You might want to take a look at a good pair of boots, something that feels pretty good on your feet.   After you find something that fits the feet pretty good go to a foot doctor and have them make you a set of insoles.  I was sore in the ankles, knees and lower back.  Had a set of insoles made and have had them for about 3 months now and can walk at night after I take my boots off.  It has really helped with legs and back.  I currently have a set of Bellville steel toes that I use in the shop.
